Homemade Granola Recipe (sorta)

I challenge my clients to try new foods/recipes or at least vary what they eat because our gut loves VARIETY!

I used to make homemade granola all.the.time. And now I make it once in awhile… and it may be a fun staple to rotate through at your house too!

I kinda eyeball my recipe, but it’s close to this

a few cups rolled oats

2/3 cup of nuts (almonds & walnuts often)

1-2 Tbsp chia seeds

2 Tbsp ground or whole flaxseed

tossed on a cookie/baking sheet with 1 cup warmed honey (warm on stovetop without boiling while oven heats) + several Tbsp of cinnamon mixed in.

Bake on 350° for about 20-25 mins, watch to make sure nuts don’t burn, let cool, and enjoy!

I often add it to plain Greek yogurt with dark chocolate chips & adaptogenic CinnaMate, and with some of it I sometimes make energy balls for the kids!
